In today’s legal landscape, everything we do as lawyers is covered under the theme for this month’s edition: AI, Technology, and Law Practice Management.

We use technology and AI every day, whether we realize it or not. Google searches, ChatGPT searches, AI deposition summaries, medical record reviews, populated discovery responses. All these tools have impacted the practice of law and how we litigate our cases.

Gone to trial recently? I use TrialPad for my entire trial – loading up exhibits and impeachment video clips to show the jury. Jurors expect to be entertained and kept awake during trial and that means stimulating them using technology – old and new. Day-in-the-life videos, charts, demonstratives, full-size skeletons and other body-part models, computer graphics, surgery animations, accident reconstructions, and so much more. The list is endless and only limited by our own imaginations. All these tools are created by AI, technology and other law practice programs.

But what to use? Where to find the best, the most cutting-edge programs? How to use those tools? There is soooo much out there that figuring this all out can be overwhelming and debilitating.

CAALA Vegas starts at noon on Thursday, August 28 and goes through Sunday morning, August 31 at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. If you are worried about little ones, CAALA has you covered with our Kids Club for youngsters ages 4 to 14, allowing parents to participate fully in sessions and networking while their children are cared for nearby.
