2025 October

It is hard to believe that we are already in the final quarter of 2025. Time for pumpkin lattes and holiday decorations in stores. While many of us are slowing down and looking forward to family get-togethers, Los Angeles and Orange County Trial Lawyers’ Charities are not skipping a beat in helping our communities.

First, we want to thank everyone who visited the OCTLC/LATLC booth during the CAALA Convention.  Over 200 attendees listed their favorite childhood books, and the cards will be shared with Altadena Arts Magnet Elementary School, CASA Orange County, and the “COMFORT & JOY” holiday event. We also raised thousands of dollars for “bundles of books” that we will donate to the three organizations. It is not too late to be part of this project. Call 844-44-LATLC for questions, and to add your favorite book.

On October 20, LATLC is hosting our 12th Annual Golf Tournament at Braemar Country Club. Very limited sponsorships and foursomes are still available. This is one of our two major annual fundraisers and will support grants for so many deserving non-profits.

OCTLC just held its second major fundraiser of the year – the ’80s Beach Bash/Lip Sync and Karaoke Challenge. What an evening! Everyone got into the MTV spirit! Congratulations to Keith More (Bentley & More, LLP) the lip sync winner, and Justin and Kristin Neerhof (Neerhof Settlement Planning), the karaoke winners.

The Great Tryke Giveaway

The biggest event of the fall is the annual GREAT TRYKE GIVEAWAY. LATLC and OCTLC are again teaming up to present more than 20 new adaptive tricycles to children with special needs. This is an incredible event that includes a parade, face painting, balloon twister, crafts and fun for the whole family.

While the children receive the final adjustments to their new trykes, volunteers will assemble 1,000 toiletry kits for U.S. VETS, our partner charity whose mission in to prevent and end veteran homelessness. They empower veterans and families through housing, comprehensive services and advocacy. Sign up to volunteer for this “GREAT” morning on LATLC’s website. (https://www.latlc.org.) There are also limited sponsorship opportunities. For more information, call 844-44-LATLC.

LATLC and OCTLC would love you to “fall in” with our organizations. Visit our websites (www.latlc.org and www.octlc.org) and volunteer, sponsor, and support the work we do in helping so many people throughout our communities.

And enjoy a pumpkin latte!
