Making a real, positive difference in the quality of life for people in Southern California

2026 February

February we are surrounded by hearts – boxes of candy, stuffed toys, romantic cards, and more.

But as Helen Keller once said:

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart.

Trial Lawyers’ Charities believe this: We are the heart of our Southern California communities.  It is in the logos of our organizations.  It is even the theme of LATLC’s 20th Anniversary gala on May 30: HEART OF LA.

As we celebrate Valentine’s Day this month, it seems the perfect time to talk about the heart of Trial Lawyers’ Charities.  Whether we build low-income housing, plant edible gardens, serve meals to those who are food insecure, or host holiday events, Trial Lawyers’ Charities represent the best, and most heartfelt representation of trial lawyers.

Our mission is to make a real, positive difference in the quality of life for people.

Volunteering with our organizations is the heart of OCTLC and LATLC.  Every month, there are opportunities in either Los Angeles or Orange County that you can sign up for.

OCTLC has many events planned this year including food sorting at Second Harvest Food Bank, serving lunch for seniors at Age Well Senior Center, volunteering with Meals on Wheels for Seniors in the community, assisting Orange County Rescue Mission with activities serving those in need, clothing sorting with Mary’s Path a center helping pregnant mothers break cycles of trauma and poverty and assist them with education and life skills, and beach cleanup with Coastkeepers to keep the beautiful Orange County beaches clean. As always, we will build affordable houses with Habitat for Humanity as well. We have lots in store this year.

In the next few weeks alone, LATLC will host a Valentine Party with seniors at the LA LGBT Center, cheer on Opening Day with Buddy Ball and Challenger League (baseball for children with special needs) and are putting together a women’s empowerment event with Clare|Matrix. We are also co-hosting an “ARTS JAM” with young artists and musicians through Mount of Angels on March 22.

But LATLC shows heart in a very special way this month – our Day of Dignity.  For the fifth time, we provide more than just services to those experiencing homelessness in Hollywood.  On February 7, we brought in mobile showers, a hot meal, clothing, a warming center, chiropractic care, legal assistance, manicures and so much more.

We can only support all these wonderful charitable organizations with fundraising and we have our next brave roastee, Brian Chase who is kind enough to let us raise money while enjoying some friendly laughs at his expense. June 6, 2026 at the Port Theater in Corona Del Mar will be a blast and we will raise a lot of money to continue our work. Please join us.

Join us. You will feel it in your heart and, in the process, touch the heart of someone in your community.
