Summer is here with exciting news from OCTLA

Check out our new oceanfront conference

2026 June

There is something about summer that brings out excitement and joy. The sun is out, the pools are open, and the beaches are packed. For me, summer has always meant a few constants: time with friends and family, a trip or two somewhere memorable, and perhaps most importantly, the glorious return of football season. Go Rams!

But this Summer OCTLA is excited to announce a landmark new conference, and more unforgettable charity events in Orange County. This season is shaping up to be one for the books. Keep reading for everything you need to know and visit our website OCTLA.org to register for these events.

A new era in trial advocacy: CLE by the sea

Let’s start with the biggest news. OCTLA is thrilled to announce a brand-new joint conference with our friends at the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego and this one is unlike anything we have done before.

Launching in July 2027, CLE by the Sea will be held July 8–11 at the breathtaking Oceanside Seabird Ocean Resort and Spa. This conference is the next wave in trial advocacy, and I mean that literally and figuratively. Imagine nationally recognized speakers, innovative and uniquely structured educational programming, and all of it happening just footsteps from the Pacific Ocean. And of course, families are welcome and encouraged, with plenty of fun events for kids and time to spend with your families poolside and in the sand at the beach.

Now, I know what some of you might be thinking – Oceanside? But trust me: this is not the Oceanside of years past. The Seabird is stunning, and the entire setting has been transformed into something spectacular. This is a conference you will want to bring your family to, stay a few extra days, and soak in everything the coastline has to offer. Mark your calendars for next year July 8–11, 2027. Stay tuned for full details – you will not want to miss this one.

Hot Summer Nights: Benefiting The Teen Project

This year, OCTLA’s charitable giving is focused on The Teen Project, an organization that advocates for and supports women who are survivors of human trafficking, including many young mothers working to provide a fresh start for themselves and their children after living through circumstances most of us can scarcely imagine. The work they do is transformative, and we are proud to stand behind them.

The centerpiece fundraising event of the year is Hot Summer Nights, taking place August 1, 2026, at the gorgeous Giracci Vineyards. This is going to be a spectacular evening, and the entertainment lineup alone is worth the ticket. We are talking about legendary performers – the iconic Pointer Sisters, the Sugar Hill Gang, and Tone Loc.

All proceeds from Hot Summer Nights benefit The Teen Project, so every ticket you purchase, every extra donation you make, goes directly toward helping vulnerable women and their children rebuild their lives. Bring your friends, bring your family, and come ready for a night to remember. OCTLA will be there and I hope to see you there!

Joy Jar and the Great Tryke Giveaway with OCTLC

The giving does not stop there. We recently wrapped up another heartwarming Joy Jar Event with OCTLC, benefitting children with cancer, and the response from our community was incredible. Events like these remind us why we do this work, using our voice to make a difference for our clients and in our communities.

Coming up on August 15, 2026, we have the Great Tryke Giveaway with OCTLC. This is one of those events that is pure joy from start to finish, and a wonderful opportunity to bring your kids and family, connect with colleagues, and give back in the most tangible way. Nothing signals summer quite like kids on tricycles and smiling faces all around. We hope to see you there. And if you are interested, please reach out to me and we will get you signed up to volunteer.

OCTLA Golf Tournament: A new home at Monarch Beach

For those of you who have been part of the OCTLA family for years, you know our annual golf tournament is epic. It sells out every single year – and for good reason. This year, the tournament has a stunning new home: Monarch Beach Golf Links, one of the most beautiful coastal courses in Southern California. The event is set to be held June 18, 2026, and will sell out as always. This year, with the help of our Golf Chair Nico Mamone and hard-working committee, we have a new player shopping experience where each player will receive a gift voucher to pick out their own golf item – hat, shirt – on us!

A season of community

When I think about what makes OCTLA so special, it is moments like these – a community of dedicated advocates who work hard, fight tirelessly for their clients, and then come together to enjoy life and lift others up along the way. This summer gives us every opportunity to do all three.

From the golf course to the vineyard to the beach, there is something for everyone in our community this season. Get your tickets, save your dates, and bring your people. Summer 2026 is going to be one to remember – and July 2027 cannot come fast enough. OCTLA and CASD cannot wait to see you all in Oceanside.

Stay tuned for details on all these events, and as always, go Rams!
