Around the golf course or around the world
How you can support trial lawyers’ charities
For 20 years, the Los Angeles and Orange County Trial Lawyers’ Charities have made a meaningful difference in our communities. This year has been no exception.
From our recent Great Tryke Giveaway, where more than 20 adaptive tricycles were provided to children with disabilities, to your incredible participation at our booth during the CAALA Vegas convention, you have helped make our work possible. This holiday season, we will also be adding the heartfelt messages you wrote to toys being delivered to children in our communities.
But we need your help to keep it going.
We need your time – by volunteering at our events. And, of course, we need your support for our fundraisers. Just like our volunteer projects, however, we want supporting our charities to be fun for everyone.
And over the next few weeks, you have two great opportunities to do just that – around the golf course and around the world!
Around the golf course
On October 12, LATLC will host our (lucky) 13th Annual Golf Tournament. We are returning to Mulholland Hills Country Club in Tarzana, formerly known as Braemar Country Club. The renovations are complete, and we’ll be playing on two beautiful, newly renovated courses!
Foursomes are available – but they’re going fast, so don’t wait.
And if you can’t make it to the tournament, you can still support LATLC – and maybe have a little fun while you’re at it. Once again, we’ll be hosting our HELICOPTER BALL DROP that afternoon.
Here’s how it works: 500 numbered golf balls will be dropped from a helicopter over one of the holes. If your ball lands in the hole, you win 50% of the funds raised through the Ball Drop – approximately $4,000!
And the best part? You don’t have to be at the tournament to win.

Around the world
Our next opportunity is truly a global experience. OCTLC president – and elite (okay, pretty decent) runner – Michelle West is participating in The Great World Race™, one of the most exciting new events on the international running calendar.
Over seven extraordinary days, November 15–21, 2026, Michelle will run a marathon on each of the seven continents, traveling from Antarctica to North America.
Her schedule is:
- November 15: Wolf’s Fang, Antarctica
- November 16: Cape Town, South Africa
- November 17: Perth, Australia
- November 18: Singapore, Asia
- November 19: Algarve, Europe
- November 20: Cartagena, South America
- November 21: Miami, North America
You can help Michelle along the way by donating toward one of her marathons, sponsoring a “continent,” or simply virtually cheering her on while she raises money for charity! You can even sponsor a whole continent, part of a marathon or send her some of your firm swag to sport on one of the runs. All funds raised and sponsorships will support OCTLC or LATLC 100% and will help fuel Michelle to the finish line while raising money for the needs of the community. Running with a purpose is what we do.

These fundraisers help support the work our charities do throughout the year – from providing opportunities and resources to children and families in our communities to bringing trial lawyers together to give back. Whether it’s golf or a global run, join us to continue our efforts at improving the lives of those in our community.
Thank you for your continued support, your generosity, and your willingness to make a difference. We couldn’t do it without you.
