Zulma Muñoz-Ryan

Zulma Alejandra Muñoz-Ryan is a first-generation Latina attorney from East Oakland and a proud UC Berkeley and USF Law alumna. Her legal career began in deportation defense, later expanding into employment law--first representing corporations, then returning to the plaintiff’s side to fight for immigrant workers, women, mothers, and elders. Growing up in a mixed-status family and testifying for her detained family member sparked her lifelong commitment to advancing justice in immigration and labor rights. Zulma now runs her own firm, Muñoz Law, P.C., in Oakland, where she combines both practice areas.
